If you are having a difficult time counselling can offer a safe space for you to discuss and explore your experiences and issues; and perhaps find ways to bring about change. I provide support that is confidential, trusting and non-judgemental.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I combine elements of person centred, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic therapy into my practice.

I have worked within the community for over 14 years, within the fields of learning disabilities, autism and mental health. I initially worked within support work, moving to training and facilitation, and later progressing into counselling. This has allowed me to work in various agencies and locations including Childline, Contact NI/Lifeline, Jigsaw CCC, primary and post primary schools and homeless charities.

Some of the areas that I have experience and interest in include anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, relationship difficulties, separation/divorce, sexuality, autism/ASD, esteem issues, trauma and pregnancy choices.

If you have any questions about counselling and how I can support you, please feel free to get in contact with me.

I am a qualified Life and Executive Coach (QQI Level 6), with a first class honours degree in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources (MCIPD). My coaching style combines empathy, insight and compassion, while challenging you to explore the issues that you are facing in a safe and supportive space.

Coaching is carried out on a one to one basis. The number of sessions in the coaching process depends on the issues, challenges and opportunities you wish to explore. Coaching starts with a one to one Check In Session to explore what coaching is, and what it isn’t, to give you space to outline the areas you would like to explore and work through. Coaching is your time, your space. Time out of this busy world for you. You set the agenda. Coaching supports you to have the confidence to explore options and take positive action, to make meaningful change in your life, which leads to you living a more fulfilled, authentic life. Coaching helps you to gain more clarity, to focus your energy on those things that matter most to you.

Christine Fleming

I have a passion for helping anyone suffering from anxiety or low self esteem, and can help to improve day to day life. I can also help clients to move on from habits that no longer benefit their lives such as smoking, snacking and phobias. .

After giving birth myself during 2021 (and using hypnobirthing to help me through the journey) I decided to focus on offering hypnobirthing classes to others. I have completed further professional development in hypnobirthing and offer one to one sessions for couples, as well as group sessions with a maximum of three couples.

Hypnobirthing can help both mum, and birthing partner, to understand options for birth, as well as mastering relaxation techniques. My aim is to help every mum have an amazing birthing experience, and feel confident enough to cope with any situation that may arise.

I love to help see people heal, change, grow and flourish in themselves and their relationships.

In counselling, my desire is create a relationship built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. I consider it a privilege to be able to walk with someone through their fears, challenges, and hurts, and help them experiencing healing and restoration. For this reason, I see counselling as an opportunity to help people diminish pain and suffering, cope with the challenges of life (both normal and extraordinary), and experience increased joy, purpose, and self-acceptance.

I completed my training through PCI college (Dublin) building on my professional training and background in health and social care. I enjoy working with adults with various issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, life transitions and perinatal mental health.

I am experienced in using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including AEDP, attachment work, mindfulness, inner child and parts work, and meaning and insight based therapies. However, I adapt my approach based on the specific goals and strengths of the client, so that each person experiences therapy that is a good fit. All the therapy I do is evidence-based and is designed to be empowering, with a focus on de-pathologising the person.

I am available for therapy face to face or via Zoom or telephone.

I have over 15 years’ experience in the Christian listening ministry, and I am a trained spiritual director and experienced retreat leader. Below are some questions and answers to explain what Spiritual Direction is.

What is Spiritual Direction? Spiritual Direction offers skilled company and support to help you grow in relationship with God and others and is sometimes called Spiritual Accompaniment. It is not new and has gone on quietly in church life across the traditions, offering a ‘safe and confidential space’. There are no expectations and no judgement. It is a listening and accepting space where you can talk about your prayer life and your search for or relationship with God.

It is about taking the time to meet with another person to talk together about your spiritual journey and what matters to you. It is to help you notice and savour your own experience of God, seek and experience a deeper relationship with Him, see where He is in the everyday things in your life and get to really know a God who cares. Many people find that this pattern of reflective companionship can be a significant help.

A Spiritual Director is a person of prayer who has made the commitment to accept you as you are and where you are. My role as your companion would be to support the discernment of God’s activity in your life.

How often would we meet/What does it cost?
Normally we would meet once a month for an hour, but it can vary. The first session is informal, but I ask people to give a small donation for further sessions, as all Spiritual Directors have expenses to cover -e.g. training, supervision and insurance.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is based on the findings of neuroscience, and incorporates and uses well researched, practical and modern strategies to bring about positive changes to clients lives in a relatively short period of time. It focuses on what clients want to achieve rather than the problem that brought them here in the first place. Hypnotherapy is a combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. The Psychotherapy part in itself is extremely beneficial, and its effects are enhanced by the application of Hypnosis, which enables the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes.

In my 1:1 sessions I can help with a variety of issues - quit smoking, fears and phobias, anxiety and depression, weight management, hypnobirthing and much more... I love the positive results I have experienced through hypnotherapy myself and specially for my clients – seeing those positive changes is priceless!

I am a fully qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, and a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH).

I look forward to meeting you, and helping you make positive changes to your life. For more info contact me on 07437403934

Soul Coaching is a deeply transformative process which is all about helping you to create change on the inside - so that you are empowered to create the changes you want in your life on the outside. It will help you to become more emotionally aware, raise your level of consciousness, challenge and release limitation thinking, improve your self-esteem, become more assertive, speak your truth and, ultimately, free yourself to lead the life you wish to lead. It's also a guided journey to the deepest wellspring of your being, going beneath the many layers of outward personality, to identify any fears, limitation thinking, energy blocks or negativity that may be holding you back.

Soul Coaching allows you to remember that you are naturally intuitive, creative and resourceful - all you need is some guidance and help.

Here's what a November 2020 client said : "I have really felt a huge shift in myself since our last session. It was very emotional and powerful for me to connect with that beautiful 3-yr old confused and hurt little boy, it’s a connection that I feel I have been only reading about and learning about for many years - but not actually doing, or feeling. Now I feel more grounded, calm and light so thank you so much again for your guidance and kindness." Brian

I fully understand that the prospect of talking to a stranger about personal issues may seem quite daunting and scary. However this could well prove to be a major turning point in your life and a very positive step in the right direction.

Counselling will give you the time and space to reflect on your thoughts, your feelings, and your experiences that link with your past and now in the present. It is important to recognise that it is very much an individual process, varying from client to client.

Counselling is a two-way process where the counsellor and client each have a role to play. working together to bring about change. I like to compare it to two people travelling together in a car, where one drives the car and the other reads the map. You may want to make changes, drive fast or slow, reflect, pause or stop. I will support, challenge and encourage you to develop skills that will enable you to drive by yourself, confident that you can manage the driving on your own.

Please remember that no problem you are experiencing is too big or small and together we will be able to make sense of what is making you feel anxious, stressed, angry, confused or sad.

Please feel free to call or email me so you can ask me any questions you have and to arrange an appointment.

Deirdre Coyne

My name is Deirdre Coyne and I am passionate about helping people to overcome Anxiety Disorders through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). As a qualified counsellor, registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and with many years’ experience in formal counselling, I offer traditional face-to-face and modern online treatment programmes. I specialise in the treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder and founded the Social Anxiety Northern Ireland website and online forums.

Social Anxiety is a surprisingly common disorder or phobia which causes people intense fear, panic and feelings of general anxiety in some or all of the social interactions most of us enjoy as part of our everyday lives. These can be meeting unfamiliar people, working with the public, or being required to take on more challenging activities that put us under scrutiny from others, such as public speaking.

The feelings become a disorder when they are excessive, irrational and impact negatively on a person’s quality of life. Without treatment it can develop into a longstanding condition. However, intensive Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been shown to produce long-lasting improvements.

I am pioneering the CCBT online programme in Northern Ireland, offering the CBT systems via your computer, tablet or phone 24/7 for your ease, comfort and confidentiality, with the addition of my virtual or physical support sessions. The programme is the only product endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

I chose this area to specialise in after completing an Honours Degree in Psychology. Having previously suffered from OCD myself, and knowing how torturous it can be, I wanted to help others who suffered from this disorder.

I undertook a Diploma in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, a Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour and a Postgraduate Level 7 Practitioners Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/Psychotherapy.

I am now a member of the BACBP and NIIHR with full affiliation to the National Council of Psychotherapists.

I work as an Associate counsellor for the Wellbeing Centre in London, and at Source Wellbeing Centrein Belfast. For the past 25 years I have studied and researched OCD, working with people who suffer from mild to severe cases of OCD using Exposure Response Prevention Therapy. Approximately 10 years ago, I set up a support group for people with OCD, it is still running today. I do work with all of the anxiety disorders using Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Exposure Response Prevention Therapy.

The most important message that I wish people suffering from OCD to receive is that, it can be OVERCOME, I am living proof of this. Others I have treated have also overcome OCD and are now living with peace in their minds.

I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and a member of the Complimentary Medicine Association. I am continually updating my professional development so I can offer the very best treatment to my clients.

I am passionate about hypnotherapy and the changes it can bring to people. I offer one to one help with quitting smoking, weight loss (including Gastric Band Hypnotherapy), phobias, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, confidence, motivation, pain management and so much more. I love seeing the positive changes in clients when I help them overcome their problems.

Many people ask about the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy, which is that hypnosis is defined as a state of mind, while hypnotherapy is the name of the therapeutic modality in which hypnosis is used. Hypnotherapy is practiced by a hypnotherapist who is a trained, licensed, and/or certified professional. Another question I'm often asked is - can I make people do something silly or embarrassing, or can you get stuck in hypnosis?

The answer to these questions is quite simply no. I am here to help you. That’s what I’ve trained for and continue to train for. I’m ready to help you. Is it your time to change?

She has also received a certification in Andrea Callanan’s Storywork certification and phase 2 in Brainspotting with BSP UK.

“I believe our pain does not have to define us and instead we can create a life where growth and healing are available and possible. Having lived a life where trauma did define me I am on a mission to help others free themselves from the shame and guilt so many feel after experiencing a traumatic event, in particular sexual abuse or assault.”

Hannah uses her experience and knowledge to support other women, like her, maybe like you, who have experienced trauma. Through embodiment and transitional coaching and therapy techniques, working with Hannah can help increase your self-awareness, self-worth and confidence, so you can build a healthier relationship with yourself and others and break the chains and ripple effects that sexual abuse or assault can cause.

Past clients have said:
: “You’re an absolute angel – you have really helped me think this through from different angles. I’ve got a lot of clarity and feels lovely to have time to reflect on this. Would love to work with you again. Has been really really good. Really really helped me.”
“This is amazing how it taps into the unconscious. I have said things that I haven’t thought about it a long time.”
