Julie has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years, and teaching since 2007 with over 8000 hours of teaching experience to date. She is an RYT & Yoga Alliance 200 & 500 hour qualified teacher.
Julie's great sense of humour and adventurous spirit, combined with her deep love and respect of Yoga as a way of life, shines through in all her classes, whether you're 4 or 94! Her skills as a teacher lie in combining her ever growing knowledge, experience, and practice, with creativity, compassion and encouragement, to share classes that inspire you to go beyond your self-set limitations, and to live life fully with more joy, balance and peace, so that your yoga experience extends far beyond your mat.
Julie had her first taste of yoga back in 1997 when her life had hit a cross-roads, and her health and well-being were at an all time low. During that class she remembers so clearly that short but sweet taste of inner peace, a quietness on the inside which she'd never experienced before. It was love at first yoga, and since then Julie's yoga journey and ongoing studies have taken her all around the world, but always bring her back to her own sacred time on her trusty yoga mat.
She enjoys practising many forms of yoga, and has had the privelage of learning with some of the most prestigious teachers in the world today.
At Source, Julie leads classes in Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Deep Relaxation. All her classes encompass yoga in all its aspects including postures, breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, mantra, philosophy and relaxation for an all round holistic approach to body/mind/spirit alignment and connection.
